Our Story
Portside Cafe began as a simple idea: bake well, source locally, and treat every customer like a neighbor. We opened our doors on Princess Street with a flour-dusted counter, a secondhand espresso machine, and an obsession with doing things slowly.
Today, that hasn't changed. Our bread is mixed before dawn. Our coffee is roasted in small batches. And our shelves are stocked with goods from farms and makers across the Carolinas — because what's on your plate should tell a story worth reading.
